Description :
À la Mine is a game where dwarves compete to control the mine. Conquer territories by bidding or defeating your opponents, and be the first to connect 6 territories to win!
The board game is currently seeking a publisher, while the video game adaptation is in development.

Origins of À la Mine:
The origin of this game began during a board game workshop where we had two weeks to create a prototype with two specific game mechanics constraints. These initial constraints became our major strengths, transforming À la Mine into a fun and exhilarating experience.
We designed every aspect of the game to achieve a perfect balance between strategy and chance, particularly targeting enthusiasts of moderately complex strategy games, with gameplay lasting around 60 minutes. Our goal was to create thrilling moments where players can enter a frenzy, risking everything on a bold move. Every design element was crafted to deliver a captivating and dynamic gaming experience.
A Logical Continuation:


Due to internal difficulties, our publisher had to pause our collaboration on the physical version of the game. However, we did not want to abandon the project and were looking for a new video game challenge. Thus, we mutually decided to continue the project by adapting it to Unreal Engine.
To tackle this new challenge, we had to start from scratch: redefining design objectives suited to the new platform, using new project management tools, and bringing in new talent to strengthen our team.
As the project is still ongoing, this section will be updated according to the milestones achieved.

The journey of À la Mine is a testament to our passion and perseverance in the field of game experience creation. From its origins during a school workshop to its evolution into a digital version on Unreal Engine as a personal project, each stage of this project has been marked by stimulating challenges and innovative solutions. We have managed to turn constraints into opportunities, whether it was balancing gameplay, adapting game duration, or finding new ways to test our game.
Today, as the project continues to develop alongside our professional and academic activities, we remain committed to delivering a captivating gaming experience and pushing the boundaries of our creativity. This project serves as a platform for experimentation and creation, and it is just the beginning. We look forward to sharing the next steps of this adventure with you.
